Terms of Use
The English version is the original. A Japanese translation follows below.
English
These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to Oshimai ("the App"), provided by Junabel Miyazaki ("the Developer"). If the English version and the Japanese translation differ, the English version prevails.
1. Apple's License Agreement
The App is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"). These Terms add points specific to the App. If these Terms conflict with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA prevails, except that Section 8 of these Terms modifies the Standard EULA's "No Warranty" and "Limitation of Liability" sections.
2. What the App Does
The App uses Apple's Screen Time to restrict the apps, app categories, and websites you choose on your own iPhone, either right away or when a timer ends. From when you start until you end it, including while a timer counts down, apps cannot be installed or deleted and in-app purchases cannot be made. Ending asks for Face ID, Touch ID, or the iPhone's passcode, unless you turn that check off in the App's settings or the iPhone has no passcode. The App collects no personal information, and nothing about how your iPhone is used leaves the device (see the Privacy Policy).
3. Your Responsibilities
- The App is meant to be set up by a parent or guardian on an iPhone they own or are allowed to manage.
- You decide what to restrict and when to hand over your iPhone. The App helps, but it does not replace watching over your child.
- Don't share your passcode, and don't register a child's face or fingerprint for Face ID or Touch ID. Anyone who can unlock your iPhone can end a restriction.
- Use the App in line with applicable laws and Apple's terms.
4. What the App Cannot Guarantee
Restrictions are enforced by iOS through Apple's Screen Time, which the Developer does not control. The Developer therefore does not guarantee that:
- every app, category, or website you choose will always be blocked, or that a child cannot find a way around a restriction;
- a timer will start a restriction at exactly the scheduled time;
- restrictions will keep working after an iOS update, after Screen Time permission for the App is turned off (including when iOS turns it off on its own), or after the App is deleted;
- ending a restriction will always remove every setting it applied;
- the App will work on every iPhone or iOS version.
If something stays restricted after you end it, turn off the App's Screen Time access in the iPhone's Settings, or contact us.
The App is a convenience tool, not a safety system. Do not rely on it as your only way to keep a child safe.
5. Purchase and Refunds
The App is sold through Apple's App Store. It has no in-app purchases, subscriptions, or ads. Apple handles payments and refunds under its own terms, and the Developer cannot issue refunds directly. To request a refund, use Apple's Report a Problem. This does not limit your rights under consumer protection laws (see Section 8).
6. Intellectual Property
The App's name, logo, character, illustrations, text, and design belong to the Developer. Except as allowed by the Standard EULA or by law, you may not copy, modify, or redistribute them.
7. Updates and Support
The Developer may update or change the App, or stop distributing it. The Developer tries to answer questions sent to the contact address below, but does not promise a response time.
8. Warranty and Liability
The warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability in the Standard EULA apply to the App. However:
- they do not apply to damage caused by the Developer's intentional misconduct or gross negligence;
- nothing in these Terms or the Standard EULA limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud; and
- nothing in these Terms or the Standard EULA limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded or limited by contract (for example, the Consumer Contract Act in Japan, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 in the United Kingdom, and the Australian Consumer Law).
9. Changes to These Terms
The Developer may make reasonable changes to these Terms, for example when the App, iOS, or the law changes. Before a change takes effect, the Developer will post the new Terms and their effective date on this page, and will note material changes in the App's update notes. Material changes that are unfavorable to you will be posted at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not agree to a change, you may stop using the App. If you keep using the App after the effective date, the new Terms apply.

1. Apple
